Cultural Exchange with Brother Yunus

Brother Yunus Oppong

Growing up in Nima, a native town of Accra, Ghana,
West Africa, Yunus Oppong learned trade from his grandmother and business management from his uncle. Roaming the neighborhood he hawked mosquito coils, apprenticed with basket makers and attended Kings College.

Brother Yunus loves his culture and as an aide to various traditional chiefs, he honed his knowledge of proverbs. He believes that proverbs move you in life; they influence conduct and are invaluable for guidance and instruction.

Public Relations & Cultural Exchange

Brother Yunus acquired business acumen by working as business manager for his uncle Senior Eddie Donkor for eight years. Beyond the everyday business tasks such as booking concerts and organizing payroll, his responsibilities also included translating various Ghanaian languages, co-writing lyrics, producing concert parties and road manager/tour guide for Senior Eddie Donkor and his Simple Seven International Band throughout Ghana and surrounding West African countries.

“One cannot love his neighbor unless he is aware of his neighbor. We hope through the understanding of each other’s culture that peace and global harmony will come to mankind; so that we can protect the only home we have ever known, the planet Earth.
